Anyone know what ASKRIGG in the U.K. is like? Is it close to any decent cities or places with a nightlife?
I know it's a small village. Let me know if anyone's visited or lived there... thoughts?
Askrigg is in the Yorkshire Dales National Park - a beautiful area of England, between Richmond in Yorkshire and Kendall and the Lake District in Cumbria. The nearest large town is probably Middlesbrough 50 miles away and the nearest cities are York or Leeds, over 60 miles away (Lancaster and Harrogate are a little over 40 miles away but some might not call Lancaster a city and Harrogate definitely isn't). You'll get plenty of scenery and some good hikes but wild nightlife - nah!
Well probably not my thing to be honest. Living there I might get bored...
UK trips are cheaper than before, you can explore places like Lake district, Scottish highlands, Brighton and lots more available. Fantastic place to visit once in a lifetime.
Be prepare to plan a trip hotel booking to valuables. There are many nightlife places in UK. Board street is well-known for nightlife action.
