Some people do make a day trip to Koh Phangan from Koh Samui. A simple Google search with a laptop or tablet will give you many posts for "see and do" things on Koh Phangan.
Understand what might happen if you get too wasted on alcohol or dope because while passed out strangers might take advantage of your condition!
