Hey
Hi Emma!
I'm planning on doing the same, apart from travelling to NZ. I want to start of in Perth (to see some family) and then travel over to Sydney and the Gold Coast to spend some time working etc.
Where are you planning on going?
I'm so nervous about doing it on my own, but at the same time, super excited!
I'm not sure how easy it is to get a job, but my cousins out on a WHV in Perth at the moment, and he said that there's quite a few part time shop based job vacancies and bar work etc.. or if you go in land a bit, there's like farm work and stuff haha.

Hello, just to let you know I'm heading out to Sydney for a week the last week of February 2014 (not quite confirmed yet!), then fly to Brisbane making my way up to Cairns and staying for 4-5 weeks. I would love to meet up with someone/people when I arrive in Sydney as I have never travelled alone or been to Australia before.
It might be good to organise the week together and stay in the same hostel?! It's either that or do an arrival package...I'm not looking to work whilst I'm out there so that would be my last option so I'm not going it alone on arrival! I'm going to do an Oz Experience package I think from Brisbane-Cairns. I also turn 30 at the end of March so want to do my first sky dive on my birthday :D
Hi everyone!
I think getting a job over there is the same as here really, from what I've heard, Melbourne is one of the best places to try and find a job, because theres so many available and its such a diverse city!
I am heading to Australia in February too, Manchester> London> Hong Kong> Sydney!
Overall its actually been alot less stressful arranging everything than I thought it would be! But I cant wait. I'll be doing a bit of travelling across Australia, a little bit of working but I want to take it all in, be spontaneous and meet some great people! Definetly be interested in chatting to other people and getting to know people who are headed out at the same time, get in touch! :D
Hope everything works out for you though! Its sooooo exciting!
