Hello,
Hi Daniele,
I was planned to be in Hanoi to but it seems in oct 13.
Would you plann to visit Sapa? I heard this place is very nice
and romantic. Just wanna suggest you for your trip in Thailand
Why too many day in Samui it you go down to the south
It better if you can visit Koh nang yuan, Koh Pi Pi, Koh tachai as well.
I bet you will love it
Enjoy your trip

Daniele,
You don't need a tour company for VN or Angkor. Once in HAN, get at least 3 prices for your tour of HaLong Bay. Prices vary quite a bit. Compare. I would read some HB blogs and see what others say about different boats and tours. Hopefully you will have time while in HCMC to get out to the Cui Chi tunnels. I would read up on where to stay and what driver you may want while in Siem Reap. Plenty of good info Your GH in SR will have drivers and guides if needed.
I agree that 7 days on Samui are too many. You might head over to or even take a bus over to coast for 2-3 of those days. Good luck with your planning.
Halong bay nicer and more interesting than Mekong delta, I recommend you should take 3days 2nights in Halong bay and 2days 1night for Mekong. Also, add Nha Trang beach for your plan, this is wonderful beach and one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Hope you will have a nice vacation!

Thanks Pahn, Koh Samui was just an idea to have both relax and night life and in order to avoid other transfer. What about the islands you suggest?
We are not hikers so I was thinking if it was the case to avoid Sapa or not...

Thanks vegasmike6. I'm considering a tour company to organize the trip and the transfer..
Because we will spend 5 days on the beaches I was considering to arrive in Samui by plane and avoid other transfer..
Just that Da Nang is in between Hoi an and Hue. So to do Da Nang>Hoi an>hue>HCM seems a little counterproductive time wise. Maybe flip that around.
Also I would give alot of thought on the 7 day koh Samui. If you are going for a resort heavy island then okay. But Thailand has too many islands to give an average (in my opinion) island a whole week.
Hi Daniele,
You have lots of choice when travel in Vietnam.
Beside some places that you are planning to go I would like to recommend SaPa - paradise in the North of Vietnam. Nha Trang, Phan Thiet one of the most beautiful beach in the Central of Vietnam.
Of course Đà Lạt in the high land South of Vietnam with 4 seasons 1 day.
Now I am in Ho Chi Minh city. I am please to assist you when you come here. ^^
Kelly Ms.
