Ok, I am planning on doing the Mongol Rally 2014, which will leave me in Ulan Baataar (fingers crossed that I make it there) in late August/early September. I was planning on booking my Flight home in Mid October from Hong Kong. So I will have about 6-8 weeks to make my way there.
I have never really looked into going to this region before and was thinking of making my own way mostly by trains. The only “must do” that I have to far is trekking Tiger Leaping George, and I want to get away from the the major tourist route if possible. does anyone have any suggestions???
