Hello Fellow Travellers!
Switzerland is quite expensive, in everything.
And different areas look very different.
just 3 days...
Luzern is very famous for tourists... you may like it.
if you go to Zürich you can go up to the hill Uetliberg and there is a tower. Up there you will have a great view and you can see the alps too, if the weather is good.
I like Bern, it's a beautiful town.
The french part Vevey/montreux/Lausanne is very beautiful aswell. Lake, wine-field and alps.
if you like art you can go to Gruyere, it's a lovely village with a castle and there is the H.R. Giger Museum, one of the most famous Swiss artist (Alien).
I would recomend you to use Couchsurfing. it works pretty good in Switzerland.
Have fun

Unfortunately 3 days is all I can spare from my travels . I've always wanted to visit Lucerne so it is a definite!
Thank you for the other options of places to visit, I will certainly make some notes and as for couch surfing I just signed up so wish me luck
hmm, couchsurfing without references is a bit more difficult.
If you don't find a couch, try to meet the locals. write in the city group that you are going to drink a beer and if someone wants to join you. Like that they will see you ahead and your not a "stranger" anymore
or go to a weekly/monthly meeting. at the weekly meeting you will find a couch for sure
Good luck
May I recommend Gstaad/Saanen, Gimmelwald/Murren, and Kandersteg/Oeschinensee. If you want a real Swiss experience, you have to hike a mountina and stay at a Berg-Hutte. For cities I would suggest Lausanne, Locarno/Lugano, and Bern.
