Again i am looking for opinions on my itinerary. I totally understand it is a jam packed Itinerary and I am looking for guideance and assistance not criticism of my trip (have just had a terrible experience on a different travel forum ). Any ideas will be totally helpful. First time in europe and I am travelling alone.
Your itinerary is definitely jam-packed, but it's very do-able. My only concern is that you'll be spending just as much time travelling as you will at your destinations. If you're okay with that, then have at 'er
Stonehenge - I can't remember the name of the company I used, but you can book a day trip from London to Stonehenge with stops in Salisbury and Avebury. Small van, they pick you up at one of the major tube stations. Good way to go. Do an internet search and you'll find plenty of companies offering similar.
Northern Ireland - consider adding in Londonderry and the Giant's Causeway, both well worth a visit. Should be possible to see the causeway on a half-day trip from Belfast
If you need to cut anything out, personally, I would suggest Lucerne. It depends what you're looking for though. It's a beautiful city with a couple of nice museums, but I don't know that I'd want to spend more than a day there.

If you find that Stonehenge + Avebury trip, I'd say go for that one, I've heard a few people say that Avebury had as much impact on them as Stonehenge but in a different way, and I agree.
Giant's Causeway - personally I think it's not worth the detour unless you have time to burn. If you do go, a lot of people combine it with a visit to the Bushmills distillery, and they say the new Giant's Causeway visitor centre isn't worth the money, you're better spending your time outside exploring the features.
Some of those "travel days" are an easy couple of hours journey that'll give you time to sightsee that day too.

Don't doubt yourself - you've chosen some of the loveliest places on Earth to visit, and travel in Western Europe is pretty easy. I've been to all but four of your destinations and I don't think you'll have any problems, it all gets plenty of travellers through and you'll find English speakers all over the place.

Sorry to hear you had such a poor reception on another forum, Emily. That can really throw you for a loop when you're new to it all. You'll have a fantastic time, and as Andy said, Western Europe is pretty easy to get around. I've been to every place on your list except Barcelona. You chose your cities well
I'm not 100% positive, but I think this may be the company I went with for the day trip to Stonehenge: http://www.salisburyguidedtours.com/day-tours-from-london.htm (It was several years ago and for some reason I never wrote down the name of the company in my journal)
I loved Avebury. I can't really explain why, but it definitely stuck with me. Very neat little town and very different feel from Stonehenge.

you will just know by heart the train stations and airports of these cities by staying so little in each place. good luck.
