latest on public transport through iran pakistan

got itchy feet again so need to go

was thinking about travelling through europe turkey iran pakistan and india and doing it by trains and buses, i'll like to just wizz through europe and really start exploring from turkey,could even fly into istanbul and start from there.
My question is what is the latest info on iranian visa and the border crossing at zahedan(iran-pakistan border)also has the train service from Tehran to zahedan started and what's the frequency?

Does the iranian and pakistani visas start from the day of issue or the day of entry, i'm hoping to be in istanbul in september and carry on till end nov. when i'm hoping to fly back from india.

As for time span i feel i can always go back to turkey and do the rest of the country anytime afterwards and only do either just north, west or south of india because of time constraints and india being such a vast country i can always make time to just tour the rest of it another time.

so is 3 months enough and has any body been through this way lately specially using public transport?

Haven't start planning properly yet and yes i am travelling alone so if any body is feeling adventures you are free to join in for the trip or even just planing
