Im from England and heading out in August. I'm planning to head to the Perth area for work as soon as I get there. Then I will know how realistic my plans are as it depends on how much work I can get.

Thanks Rob, will def check that out. I was looking at Perth also as my first port of call.. hard to decide where to start off..
Tell me about it.... I think a lot of people will head to the east coast so jobs will be harder to come by. Plus I reckon once I'm over in the east I won't head back towards Perth so I'm starting there instead.
That's a really good point Rob. Can I ask how much money you've saved or will have saved by then? I'm only thinking of going for a month, but if I enjoyed it and did find some sort of job, would have nothing stopping me from stretching out my stay. It's the cost that worries me the most really!
