Hi Guys,
HI ... I don't, but would want to visit Thailand, both Bangkok and Phuket for around 1-3 weeks either Feb, Mar or Apr 2013.
Don't know how much time you have, but from Bangkok head down to Surat Thani then take a bus west to ChiawLan lake hopefully this link takes you to some pictures of mine there, from there you can carry on by bus to Krabi and if you have time explore that area or catch the ferry to Phuket from there. If you have more time you can bus from Krabi up to Phang nga and from there take a long boat trip out to the Muslim floating village and the James Bond Island. Then bus on round to Phuket. I havent been to Hua Hin, but met some people that had lived there and said they enjoyed it.
Hey Dodger,
thanks for the reply! Your pictures are fab of Chiaw Lin Lake.
I will do some researching on that for sure!!
we hav 20 days holiday! :-)
I've visited Thailand a number of times & travelled around but my research has made me realise there are still may places I want to visit.
To answer your post consider travelling north from Phuket to the Khao Lak area & check that out. Then further north to Khao Sok National Park. These are b2 places on my bucket list. From here you can take a bus to Phuket Town and songthaew up to catch a ferry over to Koh Yao Yai or Koh Yao Noi (2 less touristed islands). Otherwise take a bus to Surit Thani then another bus north to Hua Hin. Worth at least a couple of days IMHO. Then a bus from Hua Hin to Bangkok.
Plenty of info on the internet about these places. Good luck & safe travels.
Khoa Sok - that is now on our list of places to visit! thanks for the fresh ideas! :-)
