hi, i am looking at hitting oz feb/march time for 6 to 12 months , i will not be working , just , traveling ,climbing , diving, cycling ext .even as a slightly older traveler this will be my first solo trip , looking to find out if everyone chattin / planing to meet up are all working their way round or if some are free to jump around all over oz / nz . also has anyone any idea if you can get a car / van insured if you dont have a static address ? sean.

Sorry I don't know about the insurance but I'm sure you could as I know a lot of travellers buy cars etc to get around & if you buy a campervan then you would not have a fixed address but would need insurance. Which part of oz are you planning on going to? I love all outdoor activities aswell & love the sound of your trip but unfortunately I have to work whilst there to help fund the trip. I was hoping to get out to NZ to do some sky dives / skiing etc but just depends if it will be possible at the time.
I am starting in WA an headin north for the winter & then across to the east & down the east coast for summer. That's my rough plan at the moment anyway but I realise it may change once I'm there.
