I managed to find some info on this subject for ipads ... but couldn't seem to find anything for android. Can the travel planner bookmarklet be utilized on an android tablet? If so... how do i get it to work? Sorry, not all that tech savvy either! Any info either way would be appreciated. Thanks.
According to some searching: Do a long tap on the "Add to travel plan" button from and select copy link. Create a new bookmark for that page (just the way you'd regularly bookmark something). Then go to the edit bookmark screen for that new bookmark, and replace its URL by pasting the bookmarklet link you've just copied.
That bookmark is now a bookmarklet, and so you should be able to add any page you're visiting to the travel planner by using it.
(I have no personal experience with this, and might be wrong; but it should work, and should be worth a try.)
Thanks, tried what you suggested, but it didn't want to work for me unfortunately.
Long tapping on the 'Add to travel planner' button only enabled me to do stuff (including copy) for it like it was an 'image'. That did produce a different URL though, so i tried completing the process with that. (http://1.tpstc.com/img/content_borders2.png).
When I then tried using that altered bookmark as I would the normal bookmarklet, it either replaced the page I was trying to link with a blank page, or opened up a blank page as a new tab.
So yeah, not sure what's really happening there. Or even if it's just me not doing things correctly!
Thanks again for your help.
Ah, annoying that it doesn't allow you to access the URL. And urgh, can't get the link to paste correctly here due to the smilie parsing, otherwise that'd be a good way forward to try and access it. Are you sure you long-tapped the button itself? The image URL you got is far the thin grey line at the far right side of the page, so kinda weird that that'd show up.
Guess I'm out of ideas here. Hopefully one of the admins will be able to be more helpful. Stay tuned!

That's ok. Thanks anyway.
Yeah, definitely long tapped on the 'Add to travel planner' button. Just tried it again and it did the same thing. Even when I tried long tapping on different things on the page, got the same response!
Oh well.
One more try: Visit . There's a link there "Try long tapping this link?" Hopefully that will give you the correct bookmarklet URL.
Also, for the devs to fix the current bookmarklet link, it'd probably be helpful if you could specify which android device and (if you know) android version you're using, so they can more easily reproduce the problem. (Might even be a "security" feature of android, though, not to expose JavaScript URLs as URLs.)

Sorry, no luck with that one either. It highlighted it for a bit, the highlighting went away, the writing remained red. That's all it seemed to do.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Android version 4.0.3. And using the web browser that came provided with the tablet. Hope this helps. Even if just for someone else in the future.
Thanks again for all your suggestions and help. Really appreciate the time you're putting into this.
Hi Goannaray,
I'm also an Apple user but my sister managed to complete on her Android phone.
Let me know if that helps.
KellieBarnes, thankyou!!! That actually worked!
I'd found those instructions in my research, but didn't think it'd work on android as it was explained for ipad, so didn't even try. But obviously it does, so thank you very much for prompting me to try it.
Excellent! So glad to help
