best bet is to check gumtree and seek. wage all depends on what qualifications you have and what role you will be looking at. a usual wage is around $20 all around Australia for retail jobs, catering e.t.c.
i don't want to dampen the mood but Brisbane is not a great city (you can be the judge of that). maybe for this reason you might be able to find work quickly.
i'd say your looking at making $500 - $600 a week full time.

Me and my boyfriend are moving to Australia in August, we land in Brisbane on the 16th Aug. we are looking for jobs and a place to live straight away so are in the same boat as you.
I have no idea what kind of jobs there will be out there so fingers crossed we will find something quite quick!!

Im in Brisbane at the moment & will be in August too. Ive been here 3 weeks so far & am finding it hard to find work but i guess its still early days..Im looking at admin/ office work btw.
