Hello,
Personally I would spend way, way more time travelling in Colombia itself. It's by far one of the most interesting/fun countries in South America right now.
Have fun.
Cheers,
Terry

What makes you say that? Can you give me some examples of how bolivia, peru etc fall short of colombia?
Thanks for the input,
Rollo
Seriously though, it does have some amazing features....
Colombia is the most biodiverse country per square kilometre on the planet. It's home to the biggest theatre festival, biggest salsa festival, biggest flower parade, biggest outdoor horse parade and second biggest carnival in the world. Bogota has the most extensive network of cycle routes of any city in Latin America and it's top 3 in the world. It has the tallest seaside mountain in the world. Google, "most beautiful river in the world." One of my personal favourites is that it's the worlds third largest manufacturer of womens lingerie, haha. The list goes on and on...
Mostly I like it because it is SO easy to get off the Gringo Trail and be in really great cities, towns, countryside, etc. with almost no other tourists. Throw in some of the most hospitable and fun people in the western hemisphere and you can't go wrong.
Cheers,
Terry
