Hi
Hey Deirdre , I'm also flying out to Thailand but probably mid August as I'm booking an around the world trip and the flight drops 500 pound if I book mid August as its low season over there , any I'm looking at spending 6 months in total , I've been there a few times before but can't get enough of the place , if yr stuck or a bit weary of traveling alone give me a shout but can assure you I have done it alone a few times and its so easy meeting new people , there are people in the same boat as you everywhere you go . I just got back from Ibiza last week , just had a cheep break in the sun for 3 days , went alone again but was sooooo bored it's completly different there as people tend to go away in groups and stick to there group , anyway sorry for blabbing on , give me a shout if u want ....... Danny
Not at all, delighted to hear as much as poss about it as I havent been before and slightly worried about travelling on my own! so blab away! Have you gone on any guided tours? Im thinking about doing a short one first.. 4 or 5 days and then hopefully meeting a few others along the way and taking it from there. What would you recommend doing? given Im limited to 2 weeks!
I am Thailand from 16th August for 18 days. Arrive in bangkok by myself. I'm happy to meet with you guys if you like? Thought of going alone is a wee bit scary but I'm just going to go for it :-) x
.
Hi!
I am also traveling alone in August, looking for a travel buddie, I am female and 20 years old, this is my first time travelling so the thought of being alone is a bit daunting!
I am hoping to visit Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. With a mix of cultural and beachy/party experiences.
Let me know if this interests anyone of this thread!
x
Hi am thinking of thailand too! Have not booked anything but a short stay with sight-seing in Bkk & some days at the nice islands OR chiang mai...And then hopefully vietnam in the following month. How to get in touch? Let me know thks!
Hi Lucy, I could be in Bangkok around then too. Like IauC I haven't booked anything yet as Im hoping to put a plan together first. Open to ideas and suggestions!
Anyone thinking of visiting Phuket or Phi Phi islands?
Well if few of you guys are planning to stay together I would advice to book a villa wid pool, and m sure you guys would enjoy the leisure of the villa, morning breakfast as required by you.. kitchen, pool, free tuk tuk service to and fro villa to beach and other places...
Thanks for your suggestion vaibhavm! It will be easier for me to just book into a reasonable hotel for 2 nights. I'm a malaysian & its easy to book for reasonable hotel from here. To summarise, I will go see the temples & market & the rest is eating. And then I will be going to one of the islands...if its really raining in aug, then i will join a yoga retreat. Anyone knows which island is better koh samui or krabi? Dont think im going to phuket
