Hi, I am 16 years old and it has been my dream to volunteer abroad when I am in college. I would like to help out in South America but I am worried because I am generally a very shy person and I'm worried that to do this job you need to be very outgoing, brave, and a good leader. Does anyone have any advice for what type of person is good for volunteering and helping in poverty-reducing programs? I am especially interested in Colombia. Thanks!
