I, along with a friend, are planning to arrive in Brisbane early in March and travel the East Coast on a Working holiday visa for 12 months.
Does anyone have any advice regarding Travel Insurance i.e. what I should be looking to get cover for, Best places to buy from, Policy types etc.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
hey
i used comparemarket.com to buy travel insurance, mine was called alpha 60 (60 for 60pound excess) but not used it so far so i guess i wouldnt no if any good. depending where you are from some health cover is free in australia on a medicare card but not all countries have the agreement with oz to do this. But UK does (where i am from) medicare gives you limited health care free. anyway hope this helps some what

I'm using a company called greatcover (backpacker cover). They have if fervent levels of cover depending on the activities you will be doing. I went for the standard level 1 on will buy separate cover when I do a parachute jump.
Hope this helps
I havent got around to sorting this yet but for me i think the most important thing is that they will pay the medical fees upfront. If something bad was to happen there's no way i could afford to pay the bills first!
Hope this helps
