Does anyone know if it is cheaper to book any excursions in Sydney such as Bridge Walk, Blue Mountain trip, Taronga Zoo and Surf lessons etc online before I go or when I arrive in country? Will be in Sydney from Dec 21 st until Jan 8th.,
I don't know, but doubt it.
For the Blue Mountains at the very least you don't need to go on an "excursion"; just take one of the hourly (? iirc) trains and you're there. Given that you have a decently long time in Sydney, it's worth staying in Katoomba for 2-3 nights so you can explore the region a bit more extensively.
(Taronga Zoo and the Bridge Walk of course also don't need an excursion; just entrance tickets. The Bridge Walk should be booked a day or two in advance as it fills up that time of the year - for the Taronga Zoo you can just hop on a ferry and show up.)
