Hi guys, I've never done this before or got as far as finding others who want to travel, I have waited years to travel in hope to go with someone I knew but I have no one that have the same plans and I no longer want to wait, I have no idea where to start I just know I would love to spend a year in New Zealand and Australia and hopefully doing hairdressing but if not id be happy doin any job there is a website called www.ozintro.com which seem helpfull if anyone else has info ? Cant help with the web site sorry... but I have 3 nephews and nieces all packed up and traveled to Australia and done the same as you would like to do...go for it girl your only here once (I think).
There must be loads and loads of young people thinking or doing the same.
Im at the wrong end of the age scale to do what you are thinking so just left with the travelling.

When are you thinking of travelling? I'm planning on going to oz and nz for a year as well round April. I'm going on a WHV and I'm hoping to travel up the east coast starting off in Sydney and finishing in cairns then head over to New Zealand. I've met a few people on this site on other sites that have similar plans so you will have no trouble finding people in the same boat as you.
I'm going to book in with ultimate oz it looks like and lot of fun and a good way to meet people.

It's a working holiday visa that I'll be getting because I'll be travelling for a year and I'll need a job when I'm out there so I don't run out of money. I looked at the oz intro as well and it does look good. I'm planning an starting off in Sydney then make my way up the east coast, but I don't really have any set plans, would just like to go with the flow really.

Presuming you hold a British passport and no other, you will need to apply for a visa to stay in Australia longer than 3 months, although you can stay in New Zealand up to 6 months without working.
In any case, you should read up on the working holiday visas for both countries as you will only ever be granted them once.
