Hi.. I am going to Australia soon and I am thinking of applying visa online using this website, -snip-. Seems simpler process... Anyone tried this before?
Hi - the website has been snipped from your message but I assume you mean the ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) from the Austalian Department of Immigration website. You'll need a credit card - it costs AUD 20 for the service but it is quick and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I had to use it last year at Kuala Lumpur airport because we were returning to NZ via Australia and they wouldn't let me through with my UK passport as a transit passenger. It's easy to use and hassle-free.
OH... haha... Why is that snipped off? I dont mean that but I mean website from evisaasia .... Add www in front and com at the back. :P
That site is charging USD 20 which works out at AUD19 - slightly cheaper than the Australian Immigration website. Whether it is legitimate or not I have no idea but there's no reason to suggest it's not.
Sorry - no!!! USD 20 works out at AUS 21.11 - the Aussie Immigration website works out cheaper and is definitely legitimate!
Always get any visa for Australia directly from the Australian Department of Immigration. Everyone else is a third party, charging more.
Also, do you actually need a tourist visa? An is free, and has replaced the tourist visa for most visitors from many countries.
