Hi,
Hi, you need to be careful when duplicating content online because Google may think you are plagiarising someone else's work, because it was on the other blog first. They then might 'punish' your blog! If you can, I would try to re-write the content slightly, just to make sure it isn't 100% the same. Hope that helps!
You can totally keep writing about new trips and all kinds of random non-travel things in the same blog, under the same - goannaray.travellerspoint.com - blog domain. This is how the blogs were originally envisioned. What makes you think that you'd have to / would want to start a new blog for a new trip? We do get this question every so often, so maybe we need to clarify things somewhere in the user interface.
If I go to your blog now, I see two things that are tied to your old trip: The name of the blog, and the map at the top. Both can be updated, the name to something more generic, and the map to either show your "current" trip, or "all trips". Or you could remove the map from the header altogether, and instead manually insert a specific map view in each travel-related blog entry.
You could also tag all existing blog entries with the name of the trip, so that in the navigation it's easy to go to just those posts. You could even go to your blog management area -> manage -> links, and insert an extra link there to such a page showing just the blog entries tagged with the name of the trip, so you'd have separate navigation to get to each trip.
If you do decide to also start an extra blog at travellerspoint, wordpress or wherever, then this manage -> links functionality would be the main way to tie those blogs together.
I hope that helps a bit. If not, do please explain in a different way how you'd ideally use the blog here, and what stands in your way with that. It's quite possible I just don't entirely understand what you're asking for, but that it is possible to do it somehow.

Thanks so much for that simple explanation! I understand how I can generally alter what I currently have, to make it work the way I kind of want it to now. Just needed that basic explanation to help me get my head around it. Thanks. I think I was also a bit concerned about how changing the title/name of the blog would alter historical links/listings to the blog.
I will say however, that having looked over several other platforms, one of the main things that they do have going for them is the amount of customisation you can do to the template/layout of your blog's appearance and functionality. After doing the basic research that I have so far, and if I was able to put in the time and effort to do that customisation... I think I would've gone there instead of here to Travellerspoint. But seeing as I don't, and all the other aspects available through Travellerspoint are so good... I'm thinking I'll stick around here for a while yet
Thanks again!
For anyone else and yourself if you ever have the time in future, you can also although this does require some CSS knowledge. I wish I had started a list of my favourite customised blogs earlier but here are a few recent ones:
Hi,
..... I've already completed one blog on Travelerspoint (TP) (more like an informative journal) of one trip recently completed. And am now thinking of writing more posts, but in relation to trips that are totally different. So in TP, I'd probably end up putting those into a new blog, which would result in a different blog domain.
.....
I really like what's available here on TP (ie, community, photo and map availability), and would like to continue utlising it, yet would also like to be able to put all my posts under the basic same blog domain. Is there a way to do that here?,,,,
Any suggestions / information / ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hello,
My blog was getting way too many entries & I wanted to find a way to split that blog into five yet keep them connected somehow. That looked to be complicated & time consuming.
I thought the home page could be used like an index somehow but the home page changes when I add more entries & there is no way to nominate a page as a home page. So that was out.
The Table of Contents defaults to be sorted by entry date & can also be sorted by title but it cannot be made the default. Sorting by title was also problematic for me since it sorts alphabetically and does not have separate field for dates or subjects etc,
After a few missteps I finally came to a solution that suits how I want to organise my blog...
Someone on TP pointed out to me that I might try changing the date of entry manually ( the posting time ) & this does work well. I can keep future entries at the top & put entries in order lower down.
I also type the titles so that they sort properly too. You would have to look at my ToC to see how that looks & if any of it would be of use to you.
This works for now but I don't know what I will do when the ToC gets so long that entries fall off the bottom. Or maybe they never will.

I vaguely recall Sandalsand had a home page of sorts on his blog but now that he has removed it I would be guessing wildly at the steps taken. Anyone remember?
Thanks again for everyone's input. It's been very helpful.
hasbeen - Thanks for that info and link to your ToC. Was great in providing a few new ideas. I'm in a similar situation wanting to split things up somewhat, and you explained it very well.
KellieBarnes - Yes, being able to have some sort of home page would be great!
Hi,
Glad to be of some help.
Kellie mentions callmesonja above on the blog of and I have been looking at it.
She does a good job of what I should have done in the first place.. She has several blog domains enabling her to have more than one template, and links them through - links. Duh!
She has also added her own photo in the banner which has recently been explored on the forum.
Also - Automdori does not do it, but I can now envisage a separate blog domain as a summary, holding links to all the various trips. I would have to separate all my trips into their own domain
Too much like hard work for me now I expect.

....My Table of Contents...
This works for now but I don't know what I will do when the ToC gets so long that entries fall off the bottom. Or maybe they never will.
Steve
I expected 150 entries might have been the cut-off but I now have 152, so perhaps it stretches on forever.
