Any recommendations on places to stay in Delhi for a solo female traveler?
I'll be there for a week or so, and would love some suggestions
Try to find out good recommended hotels instead of cheap lodges. It would be safer.
How long are you planning to stay @ delhi?
Hello vaibhavm23
I'll be in Delhi for about a week before heading up to Dharamsala. I haven't yet decided if I should fly or make my way up by bus?
It's difficult to make a choice - they all seem to have some sort of good and bad reports!
Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Hi Amber
If you want to go to Dharmsala, prefer Trains (2AC) over bus or taxis, however if you can fly it would be the best,
Delhi to Kangra (Dharmsala is 13km from Kangra) you have following trains
Jammu Mail (14033), Dli Ptk Exp (14037), Tata Jat Exp (18101), Rou Muri Jat Ex (18109)
For hotels search on google as Hotels in New Delhi, you will get a variety of hotels. I am not sure about your budget per day for lodging and food. It would be best to check the reviews of the hotels in trip advisor before finalizing it.
Have a happy stay.. and further you require any help let me know.. would be happy to help.
Any a star rating hotel around Cannaught place and Mahipal Pur new AIrport is safe; however, women tourists also need to follow safety tips. Do not disclose the traveling plan, inform the relatives about your stay; check the credential of hotel.
Yeah there are lots of hotels totally depends on ur budget....

There are a lot of hotels in New Delhi. it would be better if you mention about your budget. I think as a single person you must go for security not for money. Here are some hotels where you can stay The Oberoi New Delhi, The Lalit, The Park, Fraser Suites, The Claridges.
