Highway G219 stretches from along the southwestern border of China, from Yecheng (Karghilik) in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to Lhatse in the Tibet Autonomous Region. I really want to cross this, I am planing on begging my trip in Kyrgyzstan and ending it in Malaysia, this is the one part of my trip where I don't know how I'm going to cross. I want to know if anyone is planning to drive across hw G219 this summer and could plan with me, or if you know how easy it is to hitch a ride along the way. I know it is a very long, dangerous, and "perilous" route, I just want to hear from people who are familiar with this route or who have crossed it before.
