I'd recommend doing that full east coast in reverse order (that is, fly to Cairns when you're done working in Melbourne, and slowly travel south). The north (Brisbane and above) has a "wet season" which lasts from December through March, and generally features heavy rainstorms and unpleasant humidity (this latter already appearing in November). So better to start in the north in September, and be down south again come the end of the year.

My name is Stacey. I'm 26 from South Wales . I kind of have that exact plan, and strangely enough my flight is actually booked for 20th July. I too am heading alone. I'm flying into Sydney and have my first night hostel booked. Where I go from there we shall see. I will be looking to work as soon as I can (not necessarily in Sydney) for a couple of months then work my way along the east coast. I'm also looking to meet like minded people x

I'm not a Glasweign but I did spend 3-4 years there for uni. I've got the opposite plan, I'm arriving in Sydney in April and heading over Melbourne way in September. Plans might change though, going to see what happens.

Yeah i have no plans other than id like to work to make extra funds. From what ive heard / been told melbourne is nicer than sydney and better for work xx

I'm Michelle in Edinburgh. I'm also thinking about going away in July/august time, I'm 29 so thinking I just need to go before it's too late because if I don't go now I never will.
I really don't have a clue where to start, I'm thinking Sydney but maybe just because that's obvious?
I am thinking the same though about working for a couple months before going travelling. I'm so scared about going myself, I don't know why, actually think I'm getting worse the older I get. Could maybe meet up if I take the leap which I'm pretty convinced I will now!
