Hi,
Me and a friend plan to spend 2-3 weeks in China around late/mid november this year. We plan to land in Beijing and spend 4-6 days there and then head out and experience the countryside and other things worth seeing. We're also thinking about going to Hangzhou for a couple of days.
visit West Lake (with cruise), Lingyin Temple, Six Harmonies Pagoda, and Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Hu Qingyu
Pick up a Lonely Planet guide to China for ideas.
Bus to Chengde. Plane to Xi'an, Shanghai, etc.
Look for China Travel Service bureaus in Beijing and elsewhere. They speak English and are very helpful for tourists.
I would also suggest checking out some of the places NZBarry wrote about in his blog:
Good luck with your trip planning!
There is certainly enough to keep you entertained in and around BeiJing for at least a week, iwould travel out to Xi'an to see the terracotta Army, also the Panda sanctuary in Chengdu is exceptional.
Bear in mind that the weather in BeiJing willbe quite cold at the time of year you are visiting so pack accordingly.
Have a great trip.
Hello, I would like to recomend you travel to ChengDu. You can not only see panda there, but also eat delicouse food. You can visit JiuZhaigou, Emei Mount, and so on! It is really worth to there!
