Hey backpackers
Buy yourself a Lonely Planet guide to India.
On my first visit in 1984 (7 weeks), I arrived in New Delhi in early January with nothing booked and just a LP guide. I bought a 30 day Rail pass and I was off, travelling all around India. So much to see.
Do protect yourself from malaria, and a can of mosquito spray is a good investment. Only drink bottled water, which does not include water given you in an eating place (possibly tap water) unless you have actually seen a seal broken.
Hey i have sent a message too. Am raj,fro Bangalore. Even am looking for a low budget travel partner. We can work out. Please share your mail so that we can chat and work out the plan. I know most of the places in south india.
Regards
Raj
