Does anyone have experience in using software or something to convert a blog into a hardcopy printed book?
Digital is great, but sometimes it's nice to have a memory in your bookcase...
If you are blogging on Travellerspoint you can export a pdf or html copy of your blog which you can then of course print however you'd prefer. I was playing with it a little while ago on a really long blog and my preferred settings were actually exporting as html (as that way you get the maps and videos included), then on a mac using the built in print as pdf functionality to convert that to a pdf. Or you could do it manually of course and the exporting as html gives you all the content in one place for easy copy/pasting.
A few Dutch friends of mine converted their blog they kept here and then had it printed at HEMA. They went the more manual route though as they wanted to play with different picture sizes etc.
Thank you! That seems easy enough, will try when I'm back from my trip (will be while )
It seems easy enough, but I can't find how to do the export. Can someone tell me where the menu item is that allows for exporting?
Thanks!
Go to your blog management area, click on the "manage" tab (with the little down arrow next to it), and select "print" in the menu that gets you.
Thanks for the quick reply.
