No one can answer your question when you give no clue as to your nationality or from which country you're importing your dog.
Are you aware your dog is facing a minimum of 30 days in quarantine and a fees will likely be $1,300+ AUD just to get him/her into the country?

Good luck.

Im 7th generation Australian and my dog is from here too.
Then why ask these questions on a travel forum, Katsa? Aren't you aware of the job market in your own country? Can't you research job openings in the places you're interested in visiting by checking the classified sections on-line in the applicable city/regional newspapers and whatever other on-line resources there are in Australia?
Sorry, but since you're a native Australian I don't understand how anyone here can advise you better than you can yourself... you don't even mention your education, job skills or trades, etc. so that another fellow Australian poster might be able to give advice...
Good luck with your research.
Cheers,
Terry
The job market for jobs and backpacking jobs are both different. Jobs go to immigrants so i want to travel Australia with my dog and work for nothing but accomodation and food because in a few years time this will be the only way menial workers will get paid. I may as well travel doing it problem is where do you find backpacking jobs that allow you your dog.
By the way i am not native the aboriginals are.

I worked and travelled around WA and NT alone as well, although, when you're in the backpacker and hostels scene you're always meeting others so if you have an open personality, you generally always have travel buddies when you want them.
Like Terry said, I'd agree that most backpackers wouldn't have much information about traveling with a dog but as for jobs, at least in Perth, there are quite a few job agencies geared towards placing backpackers. I used one called Aussie Jobs I think. I also got work through craigslist postings. If you're interested in just working for room and board, then you should check out WWOOFing. You pay about 40 bucks I think then you get a booklet full of mostly farms (all organic I think) and such that take in workers for food and accommodation.
Good luck and enjoy!

Why don't you go WWOOFing (no pun intended)? It sounds like it would suit your desired travel style.
You can check out more info through:
Good luck!
If you go by car just be very mindful of the heat, for your dog's sake. and always carry a lot of water.

I can't remember when I read such nonsense here ever.
Ditto.
