Hi All,
Just like everyone else here I am after some tips and advice about my up and coming trip. I plan to Visit Europe in late March, June 2013. I have 6 weeks leave from work and I am frantically saving for this trip, I will be a solo traveller but I am reassured I will meet great people along th way staying in Hostels. I have come to terms with the fact that I can't see EVERYTHING in one trip but I am unsure if I am still being to opptomistic with my Itinerary.
All good destinations, personally I'd trim Nice down to 1 day and try to spend longer to be able to see Scotland, but I'm biased!
Re Edinburgh vs Glasgow - Edinburgh has more touristy sights but Glasgow has more depth and is slightly closer to the scenery. Hard to choose between them! But the actual sights of Scotland are beyond the cities and you haven't visited Scotland if you've just done Glas/Edin. ...Just done some googling and the itineraries by MacBackpackers or Haggis Adventures show you a taster in 2 or 3 day tours.
100 euro per day doesn't sound out of the way. :-)
Andyf,
thank so so much for your advice. just looked up those tours and they sound perfect! I am really excited about the trip but terrified at the same time.
Sure it will be and adventure to remember!
Thanks again!
