Solo Traveling Thailand october - december

Moving back to the UK after working for a year in New Zealand. Decided to explore Thailand on my way home!

Also do you think 2000GBP would last me 2 months?

Thanks in advance for any replies

You get 30 days visa free on arrival by plane. A flight out and back in, and you get another 30 days, upto 90 days in total over 180 days.

Or you can get a 60 (not two month) day visa from a Thai embassy, which can be extended in Thailand for another 30 days costing another 1900 baht.

For best weather in Thailand, December to April. A fair chance of rainy days from now till December.

£2,000 should be ample if you don't have too many nights out. Monthly accommodation is cheap, maybe just £250 a month for a decent apartment but you have to pay a month deposit which you get back when you leave.

Lots of generally cheap accommodation if you use the link at the top of the page. Food, drink, etc is cheap there if you don't eat in restaurants. Transport is cheap but be very careful if you hire a motorbike as they drive like crazy there, and there is a scam where you pay for damage already on the bike, so point it out if there is any and make sure it is noted down.

thanks for the advice.

I will also be traveling with my laptop is this wise? and will it be safe.
