Looking to travel the usa, starting east coast in september 2013!!! Any advice welcomed!!!!

When you say "travel the usa" you mean the whole thing, east do west? How much time are you planning to spend on USA?
I say that cuz me and two friends of mine are planning on travelling RTW through 2014 and maybe spend two or more months crossing USA east to west. Or maybe east coast and then fly to west coast...
any advice on that too would help us too
Recently i visited florida and must say fine place to visit with many different tourist attractions.
