Hey! The best bit of advice i can give you is to do your regional ASAP.
What kind of work are you looking for? Best thing to do is sign up with agencies and type in to google "jobs in Sydney" or which ever city you are in. They have a site called Seek which is pretty good but there are also a load more.

Sorry, I totally overlooked your reply. I am happy to do anything! I have experience in teaching, horses/farmwork and au pairing so anything similar but I am quite a grafter so happy to do anything.

Keep an eye on the listings in for your area of interest.
Don't worry about work clothes, there are plenty of thrift stores you can pick up some second hand clothes and just junk them when you are done, better than lugging stuff around you will only use for a short term.

As said, check with some work agencies ASAP, and see if you can line up a job. Be prepared to do anything to start with and you can find something better later.
Sydney of course has all the shops you will need for clothes and everything else so don't take too much.
