Travelling to Australia August 2014

Hi, I'm Josh, 25 and from North West England.

Helloo
I'm hopefully heading out to oz on July 10th! Will be booking a week with Oz Intro to start with as I'd like the security of them helping with stuff and it'll be a good way to meet new friends!
Will probably spend no longer than a month in Sydney, then I'll head up north to do some farm work to get my 2nd year visa!
Do you have any plans yet? Or anything booked?

Hey

I'm thinking about going in September.

Josh, I'm quitting my day job too! Theres just nothing keeping me in the North East anymore, I think you are wise choosing to go with a friend but I would say book with a company so you can get help if you should need it.

Ellie, I'm the same I want the security of knowing I'll get help whilst I'm over there.

I just don't know whether I should book with UltimateOz or Oz Intro.

Emma x

Hi Emma, I'm going with Oz intro as I know a couple of people that have done it and said that it was really good! I don't think that it really matters on which one you go for, they're both pretty similar. You get good experiences on both and you'll meet new people which is what I'm most excited for

Hi Ellie,

I really really want to do it, I enjoy travelling and I know people who are over there now but they went themselves (I could never do that)

I've spoke to my family about the idea but they are against me going, apparently I am living in a fantasy world and don't know what the real world is yet. I'm 19 years old and they treat me like I'm 9.

Hey,

I'm in the early stages of planning, so don't have anything booked as of yet. We're not really that sure where to start either. From what i have read/heard, Sydney seems to be the most popular choice.
I've not really done much research on the Oz into thing, do they help you out with work?

Emma, i wouldn't listen to them! If there is an opportunity, then you should go for it!

How long are you both planning on travelling for?

Hey

If you guys where going in September I would totally tag along so I knew someone haha :P

Sydney defiantly is the most popular choice from things I've read I think that is because theres more options.

I haven't done much research with them either, I have looked at UltimateOz though and they help with work, accommodation and things like that.

I've always said to them once I'm old enough and I have the chance I'm going as soon as I can and not looking back so I don't know why they're acting like that.

I'm planning on getting the WHV and stay there for the year, once I'm there I'm going to see how much I like it and then decide whether to do the 3 month rural work so I can get the 2nd year visa.

You should book a flight, that will show them your serious haha!

I think its probably best to sign up to the Oz intro if they help out with work, as i don't think ill be taking an awful lot of money.
The only down side to starting in Sydney is that it seems so expensive compared to other places. However i think your right, there certainly seems to be more options than anywhere else.

I'm guessing your planning on travelling up the east coast?

Yeah I'm just starting in Sydney and seeing where it takes me! Oz intro will help me get started with work/tax file numbers/bank account etc, so it's less stress for myself to sort it all out!

I'm gonna spend as less time in Sydney as I can as it's expensive, will most likely settle in Queensland for a while, but yeah, travelling up the east coast for my rural work!

Emma I think you should just do it! It'll be the best experience of your life!
So exciting!
