U.K NASCAR fan hoping to attend the last 3 races of the 2013 season.
Fort Worth, Texas:
Sister city with Dallas--sits just 30 miles west of there. Cowboys, lots of space, but a town famous for its Methodist college (SMU) and Christian college (TCU). Actually has a fun downtown, but be prepared to learn the "two-step" and listen to country music. BBQ food (steaks, ribs, and brisket) are great--and people tend to eat either that or mexican food with their margaritas or beers.
Phoenix, Arizona:
Desert city. In the summer it is always over 100 degrees Fareinheit here--but it cools down in the late fall and in the winter its a major resort destination for those trying to escape the snow and cold. Lots of hotels with pools--and the city kind of winds around a few major mountain areas--most notable of which is Camelback Mountain (not really a mountain so much as a small hill located in a otherwise flat area). The local college (Arizona State) has the largest student population anywhere in the US--and the kids like to really party by "tubing" down the local river and by just enjoying themselves all over town with a party happening everyday. I imagine with NASCAR in town this will be especially true.
Miami, Florida:
Like Phoenix, too hot in the summer to enjoy much--but it is party central down in South Beach once the weather gets to where it is more enjoyable. This town has a great mix of things to do both in and out of town. There is the well-known South Beach, but there are also the local alligator farms, the Everglades National Park, air-boat rides, good shopping, and if you want to go relax for awhile, either before or after the NASCAR event, there is the group of islands south of town known as the "keys". The farthest away of these is the busiest spot--Key West. But you can also just go to the first one down the chain (Key Largo) and just kick back and enjoy.
Should be a great trip; I'm sure you will enjoy yourself.

Forgot to mention easy travel connections via Southwest as long as you book at least two weeks ahead and buy a "web only" ticket. Right now tickets are about $150 from Dallas to Phoenix, one-way.
Similar discounts can be had to/from Phoenix to Miami as well.

Just bear in mind that the US isn't all small and cute like the UK. The only one of those tracks Ive been to is Homestead and it, probably like the others is out in the middle of nowhere and public transportation sucks. I'd imagine there are shuttle buses laid on since NASCAR is pretty popular, or you will need to arrange car rental for each event. If you go with a shuttle, you are still likely to have to get transport from your hotel/motel to restaurants and sights, so maybe the rental is the way to go.
I don't know if you have listed the races in order, but you could look into a UK/ Dallas return flight, or probably cheaper a Miami/UK return, rent a car in Dallas and drive Dallas /Phoenix then Phoenix/ Fl. Its quite a long drive, but you have a week in between to do each leg which is plenty and you'd at least get to see a bit of the country.
