Hey TPers,
Don't forget to select the location for your photo as this is required for it to be featured!
Just went through them and voted for what i thought were the best 5.
Got to say some awesome photo's and a credit to the guy's taking them.
I would however say, not many of them have the "I want to go there" about them - this is not a reflection on the photo's themselves (as stated above most are worthy of National Geographic).
Great shots, but without personality if you know what i mean, maybe it's that they are too professional quality.
Anyway, good luck to all the finalists

Agree. I have been going through quite a few of them and during these photo comps you see that 80% of the photos contesting is by new members just signing in and uploading 3 photos. And you never seem them again, they are just here for the money and other prizes. Understandable but not TP worthy in my opinion.
How do you point people to your own pics to vote - some friends want to check them out and vote they don't mind going through a lot of them but to point to our own would be fantastic...and vote off our photo page.
I have signed up about a month ago and hoping to upload more just to see - as i travel...but at the moment I am not venturing far past home and work.

Another thing I don't like, as the photo voting nowadays is based on the number of people you can convince of voting on your owns photos. Thank God there is (also) a jury vote for the biggest price. Public voting should be avoided next time, let's see how many people join then

I agree.
I am not asking them to specifically vote for me - I am not trying to "convince" people to only vote for me - I was asked that since there was literally thousands and they had gone through a few but not seen mine - how could they do a vote.....without sitting at computer for days.
I am certainly not asking them to cheat and just vote for me just because they know me...I appreciate the jury vote too. Public voting is great - gets extra peeps in looking at all the excellent pics - the photographer may end up getting work or sales from it - can't see the harm myself.

Ok, fair enough. By the way, there are 148 photos to check out if I am correct, not thousands.
And just out of curiosity: I don't see any photos on your profile? Do you have a second profile, or not joining the competition at all?
What does strike me though is that, apart from the announcement in a mail/newsletter, I don't see any link or button on the TP website to go and vote, not even photography section. Not even in this topic
