I am currently planning some travels in Africa - visiting Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe & South Africa before flying on to New Zealand to start a Working Holiday Visa. I only have 8 remaining blank pages in my current passport & was wondering if anyone is able to advise me if this is likely to be enough? From experience, some countries visa and entrance/exit stamps can take up a page and a half but can't seem to find information on Africa stamps.
Kenya - full page
Zimbabwe - full page
South Africa - full page
Malawi - cannot find the stamp in my passport for the life of me. Guess that means it's small!
Tanzania - half page
Zambia - sorry, can't help on that one
Your NZ WHV will likely be a page and a half if they're anything like Australia.
If you're sure those are the only countries you'll be visiting, you should just be able to squeak by. If there's any chance you'll be changing your itinerary though, get a new passport or have pages added before you leave if you can. I found out the hard way how difficult it can be to add pages or get a new passport on the road. Better to be prepared.

To be on the safe side, if I were you, I would get a renewed fresh passport. It might safe you some hassle on the long run

I agree with takesbackpack that you'll just about get by, but it might be a good idea to get a new one to give yourself some more flexibility; for example you may want to do some travelling after you've finished in NZ and might need pages for that. You can apply for a new UK passport while you're in NZ, but it's much more expensive than applying in the UK - I think my new passport cost over $300 from the high commission in Wellington. You can't add extra pages to a UK passport unfortunately as you can with some other passports. (I'm assuming you are a UK passport holder.)
