Need help on buying RTW tickets

Hi people,

I used AirTreks and was very pleased with them. I don't think you'll find much difference between the various companies though.

When it comes to your flights be flexible on your destinations. AirTreks recommended two stops on my trip that I never would have thought of on my own and they ended up being two of my favourite destinations on the whole journey. In addition to adding two great countries to my trip, going with their recommendations actually reduced my flight costs as well.

Just something to keep in mind...

Thanks for your reference. As a starting point and for comparisons, I put requests to both airtreks and ticketsroundtheworld. the latter offered me a fare which is significantly lower than the former..with more or less the same stops/destinations.. maybe once i decide the dates and then would be able to take a final call :-)

Play the companies off each other, best way to get it cheaper and cheaper. The travel agents have different layers on RTW trips, and obviously start higher for commission etc.

My final price with AirTreks was almost 50% less than the price quoted on the online trip planner. It really depends on dates and how far in advance you are booking.

I agree with Cavs though, try playing them off each other and see what you can get
