Hey im looking to do some farm work/fruit picking in September time NSW, is anyone else looking to do the same? would be great to speak to someone with simillar ideas

I'm heading out to Sydney in September, and was also thinking farm work or fruit picking might be the way to go, so that I can give myself chance of getting second WHV. You thinking along same lines? Or have you been to Australia before?

im thinking along the same lines as you guys, i wanna try get the fruit picking done as i will save lotsa money doing it (fingers crossed) and also it will help me get that second year visa. iv looked at some sites like gumtree and seek to see what kinda jobs are avaliable but to me it looks like its to early still to apply for work fruit picking because alot of the jobs adverts are immediate starts. Just wodering if use guys had looked or had any contacts?

I have been on the harvest trail website that there is a link to from the immigration website, but other than just really an idea at this stage. From what somebody said on another thread its definitely too early to be thinking about work. Think it should be easy enough to sort out, so think am going to concentrate more on having a good time and seeing sights for first couple of weeks, as long as money allows.

I am looking at doing the same. I am heading out to Sydney end August and have been advised in order to get second year visa i need to do 3 months on a farm and to get this done first. Is this what you are doing?

Yeah am hoping to get as much of the 3 months done in Sydney before New Years, because then I might be moving on but then just probably try and get a bit more done in Melbourne where I am thinking of moving on to.

Hey sorry not replied been busy, I have seen a place which is few hours away from Sydney and hoping to get one there where have you's seen farm work about?
I'm going to look more when I get there, but I'm loving the idea of some sort of fruit picking and its all seasonal down there, so I'll see what's happening at the time.
