I'm a 21 year old female from Canada.
I am doing a Contiki Tour through Croatia, ending in Dubrovnik near the beginning of August.
Since I'll be in Europe, I am thinking of visiting Italy, where my family is from, but a little skeptical of doing it alone, since I don't really fit in with blonde hair and blue eyes.
But I am thinking of starting in Rome, to Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Milan, then travelling through Switzerland to Amsterdam to meet a couple of my friends who will be arriving there August 20th then travelling to France/Spain. So that gives me two weeks on my own, is there any recommendations on how long I should spend in each place? I'm looking on doing the touristy things (leaning tower of pisa, Trevi fountain, Statue of David, Cathedral of Sana Maria, etc.)
Also, is there anyone who will be in Italy around this time, I'm sure I'll meet people in hostels and what not, but I'd rather not travel through all of Italy alone!
