Im stuck on which luggage to take with me on my WHV to Australia! Can anyone give me some advice as to what to take with me as I am finding it hard what to take??
If you're staying in one place for long periods or your travel plans are basically from accommodation to a taxi to the airport/train/bus then back in a taxi to your new accommodation then it doesn't matter.
If you're travelling a lot and getting off the beaten path slightly then you might find a backpack works better.
Cheers,
Terry
Thank you for your advice!
i was having the same dilemma, i think i have setteld on something like this, bit of a cross between the both! lol

Thanks I think I will be looking for something like that aswell!! They're really handy!!
Unless you're both bodybuilders you won't even be able to lift that monstrosity. It's over 3 times larger than the backpack I use to travel for indefinite periods (months at a time) through 3 climates.
Good luck.

Terry
I had the same! I tried on a backpack and realised i wouldn't be able to go far with is I have chosen a small back pack that can go as hand luggage and a small suitcase with wheels
Read for some further thoughts about travelling light.
Cheers,
Terry
Hi Guys,
Have you considered a wheeled backpack? Then you get the best of both worlds
They don't always have to be heavy or bulky, just because they have wheels - try looking for a Karrimor Global Hub, these are 65 litres normally and come with a detachable daypack.
Have a great trip!
