What to do to cut down the roaming charges

I love traveling a lot but the biggest hurdle which comes in the way is of the roaming charges, which cuts down the spirit to travel. So I want help for that please suggest me some option to travel easily all around the world.

Turn roaming off on your phone.

Cheers,
Terry

The biggest roaming charge is definitely your phone. There are tons of tips online how to avoid them, just type in "roaming charges phone" and you'll find ton of information.
Normally if there is not free WiFi available, the WiFi is pretty expensive, so keep that in mind. If you are in that situation and you still want WiFi, you should either look for the cheapest option or go somewhere, where WiFi is for free (I think there is an app called WiFi Finder or something like that, that helps you find WiFi places near your area).
And of course, always pay attention to extra fees and stuff like that!

Have a nice trip!

Thank you Terry and you love travelling buddy for your nice advice, but what about if I want to make calls anywhere. And as soon as I reach there I'll have to inform my family and will have to make urgent calls. And till the time I don't get another sim I'll be in the clutches of the roaming charges. So please do help me for that !!

The answer is simple, just like I told you. If you can't afford roaming charges then stop roaming.

To inform your family that you arrived wait until you find WiFi so you can Skype or use email or buy a local SIM card.

This isn't complicated...

Terry

Please don't even try to mention your company. Your post will be immediately deleted.

For anyone else that comes across this thread, Love_Travelling's suggestion of using WiFi Finder will help. Certain chain cafes/restaurants also offer free WiFi to customers. An email home will often suffice for any concerned family but if a call is non-negotiable and Skype is not an option, you can always consider a prepaid SIM or calling card.

That's a scam.

He was warned!

but if a call is non-negotiable and Skype is not an option, you can always consider a prepaid SIM or calling card.

Yeap, I use one of them, rates are low and what`s more important, in many countries incoming calls are.....freeeee Which makes me really happy
