It sounds like I have a similar plan to you both.
I fly to Melbourne arriving on 8th November to work for five weeks, then travelling to Sydney for Xmas and NYE then leaving early Jan to travel up the East Coast

Yes but I'm still debating about going for a year, I'd just be worried about getting work. Fair play to you though! Did you just email pubs and things or where?
