Hey.
Hi Linz! I will be heading to Sydney after my us trip. I'm currently here in san francisco but will be leaving in a few days!
I am yet to book my flights but will also be there in November, haven't got many plans yet other than staying with friends in Melbourne for a few days. What company are you doing your tour with?
November month in Australia have a fantastic climate and their have many places that will be feeling good.
Well I booked it through STA travel but haven't been very good so far my actual tour is with contika it sounds amazing whats on it & planned but the nerves are starting to kick in now. Planned it after a relationship break up never thought I would be going throught it but I am.
Melbourne I was going to include as seems like my sort of place but as it is my first time travel stuck to the tour.
Are you planning on staying out there? ☺
The east coast of Australia is a very tourist route with young people traveling all the time.
If you are staying in hostels you will meet like minded people like yourself so no worries, get chatting and make friends.

Check out the list of people in the area you are traveling in and arrange to meet up for a meal or drink. We met a number of people on our trips and stayed over with some worth a try if you are traveling on your own.
If you are from the UK get your Visa on the Internet, DO NOT HAVE ANY DRUGS OR FOOD WITH YOU WHEN YOU ENTER AUSTRALIA. they do not take kindly to folk who bring anything like this into there country so beware.
We traveled the East Coast some years ago and snorkeled the Barrier Reef it was so beautiful that I cried.
Last year we did 2 month in Western Australia but took in Cairns and Port Douglas to do some snorkeling again.
We were so disappointed the reef is now bleached and damaged in many parts compared to when we were there 8 years ago.
The weather as had a terrible effect on the reef, we visited only three areas so you may find another part ok I hope so.
Don't go to the one with the fixed platform, can't remember the name but the reef was terrible and there were hardly any fish.
Take Boots anti itch cream with you, you can't buy it in Australia and it's good for relief from anything itchy and the sand flys which are a pest.
Sydney is a wonderful city but expensive so hope you have funds, visit the beaches and go on the ferries. Get your walking shoes on and take in the atmosphere.
It's an easy country to travel in so don't worry.
Have a great trip but keep safe,
Thanks for the tips great barrier reef is on my places to visit on the tour so will defo check that out.
