senojnerual has indicated that this thread is about Visas (Thailand)
What's your nationality?
For British passport holders, the foreign office gives this as the official site:

They also say that the only way you can work is to get a work permit, and this is difficult. I don't know if this varies by nationality but I'd doubt it - I think Thailand welcome tourists spending but beyond that they'd like to see the work go to locals.
Normally I believe tourists get a visa on arrival lasting 30 days, and I hear of people doing visa runs to other countries to extend this.
I don't think you need a visa for Thailand if less than 30 days am sure you just pay at the airport and they stamp your passport as the visa ? but if your planning spending longer then you probably would need a passport unless you go down to Malaysia before your 30 days then you should be fine ? am going to Thailand myself 30th march 2016 landing at Bangkok then working way through Thailand Malaysia then Singapore before go over to Australia, looking for info myself regarding places to stay ect you hear anything please let me know am travelling from Liverpool and 25

Andyf; We are both British passport holders.
We are traveling to Thailand for roughly 3 months but are visiting Vietnam and Cambodia before we move on elsewhere so won't be in the same place for to long id imagine. Just need to make plans for actual dates so we can figure out if the 30 days is long enough or if we need to buy a holiday visa for longer. Thank you for your help, I'll check your links out.
Jdag; I hope your trip planning goes well we are pretty much on the same page as you. We will be there around the same time. I've been recommended a few places to go but still need to set it in stone. Exciting stuff!!
