Best places in Spain and France to travel to

Hi all! I am going to spend 2 weeks in Spain, and 2 weeks in France in the summer of 2016. This will be my first time traveling alone (I will be 18), and was wondering if anyone had any favorite destinations in either of those countries. Thanks!

My favorite area in France is Provence and in Spain Costa del Sol

How is there value in these favourites of others to you?
Do you not want to go to places which are interesting, for whatever reason, to you?

Well, as I am a new traveler, and don't know much about either countries, I find other's opinions to be helpful. There are so many places in Spain and France I could go, but I would like to hear what places people like that they have already been to, to help me decide.

I quite enjoyed Seville as a younger traveller (at 21) with the nightlife, cafes, and historical buildings. It was a really fun and beautiful place. Most people berated me for missing Barcelona so you might want to at least do a little search on the area

Yeah Barcelona is a highlight if you like architecture, it's full of freaky buildings by Gaudi.

Further south the Costas are not that interesting to me, full of people wanting just sunshine, and the local culture well hidden. If you do go south Malaga has some history to see, and Granada has the Alhambra palace. Gibraltar definitely worth a visit.

It would be helpful if you said what you are looking for - is it relaxing on the beach, history and culture, local food and drink etc.

I'm not a beach goer, but if you want a bit of architecture and culture, plus some great food and drink (and a few beaches too) the Andalucia is excellent. Malaga has beaches but also so much more. Seville is beautiful and vibrant, and filled with cultural opportunities. Granada is well known, but the Alhambra doesn't disappoint. We also like Jerez (if you like the sherries, which may not be what you expect) and Cadiz.

france is most tourist attraction in the world, first Eiffel tower.

The best places both countries would be Paris, Nice, Lyon in France and Barcelona, Madrid, Seville in Spain. You can explore places nearby from these hotspots based on your interest.
