How money money will I need for Thailand for a month?

Im going to be in thailand for around a month and am looking to see roughly how much money I'll need? I'll be there in april, I want to stay somewhere thats clean and safe but other than that I'm not fussy. I also want to see the sites aswell as money for accomidation and food. Im a female travelling alone so obviously I want to be as aware as possible, any help/advice would be great

depends on how much do you wanna get laid lollll on a serious note...50,000 bahts should be enough for a month thailand is relatively cheap for food and accom....

Agree with above! That amount will see you in nice rooms and you can afford tours n good food. If you are interested in volunteering then we have positions available with elephants n big cats for 2000thb a week. Contact me if interested!

For a backpacker, £1000+ for one month will do. roughly £35-40 per day. This rate is reasonable and not quite a flashpacker, you can have a private / air-conditioned room. But still it depends on how you will spend your vacation.

thailand is pretty cheap...have been there few years back

Why don't you work up a budget and see how much per day you can afford to spend. This is after you pay for your flight over and back. How much money you have decides where you sleep and where you eat. Fit the holiday to what you can afford!

How much you need depends on how you spend money. You may choose fancy nightclubs instead of cheap beer bars, choose expensive restaurants instead of simple lunch counters and cheap food courts. You may drink like a fish and rent gigolos and spend more than your hotel costs! Every tourist has different spending habits.

Most hotels are safe, even cheap ones. Some cheap hotels even near bars are safe but maybe noisy! Maybe consider a room on the second floor so someone can't climb in your window, especially if you choose cheap fan only rooms. Consider leaving expensive jewelry back home and other items that you would cry over if they were stolen. If you invite random guests into your room - who you do not know from back home - don't leave any valuables out in plain sight. Use the security box your hotel has to safeguard your valuables. Don't leave the safety box key out where a guest can use it to clean you out!

When you know how much you can afford per night for a hotel ask for recommendations in that price range. Bangkok is cheaper than Phuket, local transportation is a bargain compared to Phuket. Pattaya is cheaper than Bangkok but the beach is no good for swimming. Chiang Mai is cheaper than Phuket. So you can see where you stay affects how much you spend. April will be much cheaper than December for hotel prices but the weather is better in December.

You have a lot of time to work things out.

Thailand is not very expensive tour place. You can enjoy their with very minimal amount. Around $2,000 to $2,500 since your going to be drinking and enjoying the good life to the fullest.

Thailand is very cheap. Anyway, view the link below as it can be a big help on your expenses there.

Good luck!

Just be aware that you will pay more for accommodation in the most popular tourist destinations - Bangkok and the more popular islands. Some of the tours can be pricey here. You will never eat better or more cheaply than in Thailand - Bangkok is a foodie paradise.

I would say £2000 for average cost hotels and not skimping on food drinks etc
I went to Thailand for a month in feb this year and spend about this much - that included 2 internal flights as well thou.
It can be done for a lot cheaper thou depending on where you stay and what you eat.
