but also surfers paradise Queensland if you love the beaches that is an awesome place !!!!

i wish i could help on the solo bit as im heading to toronto in march 2013 on my own and first time overseas super excited !!!! but if your anything like me i don't think you have an issue
depending on how long your traveling for, the rates ATM are $1000 euro = about $1200 australian ( this is a guestimation )

mmmm not sure on yoga studios but there are plenty about i'll ask some hockey friends of mine that do yoga and find out the best cheap ones for you
yeah hoping to just go up and experience the travel as i haven't been overseas yet and its been my goal for a long time just recently decided to get my butt to it and was hoping to see an NHL game but likely hood of that is slim but a game would be great or to skate outside would be awesome!!!!

Hey, I'm travelling alone to Canberra, in march, I'm only staying for 2weeks as I'm a teacher in the uk and can only travel in holidays!!! Backpacking sounds great but I love my job too much to leave haha!
If you're under 30 you can get student visa and work - fruit picking, telemarketing, waiting, bar work - the usual. There's plenty of agencies looking for staff. Australia is expensive though I wouldn't live anywhere else. And Melbourne is my choice. Don't worry about travelling solo. We're a friendly mob.
