Hi Gor. Here are a few places to visit, Old Fort Henry in Kingston (morning) and the reenactment of the Battle of Chrysler Farm (afternoon).
The Battle of Chrysler Farm is in early July. Consult their website for more info and actual dates.

I have been to both these places and you should enjoy them. Be sure to spend time talking to the re-enacters in the camp, before and after, the battle.
War of 1812 in general
For some reason, the Canadian Govt has decided to promote the ..... out of the war. Here is the official website. Lots of info but the major celebrations were last year (200th).
