Hi there - as there have been some recent "challenges" with Java, are there any alternatives to bulk uploading pictures to the gallery that don't require installation of the Java plugin?
Yeah, that's a rather unfortunate situation for Java. We have some alternative uploaders that we could switch to, using HTML5 and Flash instead. We'll need to set aside some time to do this though.
The only way to do bulk upload currently without using the bulk uploader is by emailing in your entries as part of a blog post. But I would highly recomment resizing your photos before doing that, because unlike the Java uploader, it will be transmitting the full size images otherwise which could be very slow sending.
