I'll be in Guangzhou, China next week for the spring festival. I think you should go, there is going to be a lot of people over there for the spring festival and friendly people. Two years ago, I went to Shanghai alone and meet some amazing people to some of whom I still keep in touch just be careful and don't go to places I wouldn't go at home.

I think China will be your best choice. Chinese Spring Festival falls on February 10 this year and you can visit there after February 16 when the most people began to work and avoid the busy train transportation. While the fare of flight and accommodation are very inexpensive. And the attractions in most cities are not crowded. So you can not only save money but also play to your heart's content.
